At the iconic Doors Restaurant in Dubai Mall, GadgEon Elegantè was commissioned to design an audio system that would elevate the dining experience into a truly immersive journey. The brief from Chef Kemal Ceylan was clear: create an atmosphere where sound complements cuisine, enhancing the ambience while remaining discreet and unobtrusive. The challenge was to achieve powerful coverage across a large restaurant space without compromising the venue’s refined interior design.
To bring this vision to life, GadgEon Elegantè integrated architectural loudspeakers from Architettura Sonora, a brand renowned for blending Italian design with high-fidelity acoustics. These speakers were selected not only for their sonic clarity but also for their ability to merge seamlessly with the restaurant’s décor. Each unit was carefully positioned after extensive acoustic simulation studies and validated through a full-scale Styrofoam mock-up, which allowed the team to perfect sound staging, dispersion, and visual integration before installation.
The audio system was powered by Pulz amplification, engineered to deliver clean and dynamic sound reproduction. Dedicated Pulz digital signal processors (DSPs) managed the multiple speaker zones, ensuring precise channel separation, optimized equalization, and uniform sound pressure levels across dining areas. This technical precision meant that guests experienced consistent sound quality at every table, with music enhancing the atmosphere without overpowering conversations.
The system provides multi-zone flexibility, allowing the restaurant team to adjust music levels and mood for different dining areas, private lounges, and event spaces. The result is a multi-sensory dining experience, where refined acoustics enrich the gastronomic journey.
